How can I be sure the reviews on your site are real?

ProAdvice takes reviews seriously by putting each review through a full screening process. Reviews can only be left by validated registered members. Once a review is submitted, the review is run through our screening process algorithm and if any aspect of the review triggers suspicion, then that review is passed to our content team for manual review.
Professionals are free to contest reviews and those reviews are then re-evaluated. If they are from legitimate clients, they are maintained. Please see our Review Guidelines for more details.

How can I build a better profile?

The secret to more qualified leads is to take full advantage of your profile features. This includes fully customize your profile page, upload your logo, add team members and locations, identify your areas of specialty, and get reviews.

How can I get more exposure from my profile?

By having a complete profile you’ll stand out in search results, on category pages, and even on your competitor’s pages, with complimentary sponsored ads. Subscribing to Feature Profile you’ll move to the top of search results for specialty services you select, in the areas you serve.

Once you have registered your firm's profile, you want to ensure your profile is complete. Your logo or image representing your firm appears prominently in the search listings and on your profile page.

To add your logo, log in to your account and go to your company dashboard.

  • Click on Update Logo on the left side of the dashboard,
  • Select "choose file" to select the file from your computer
    1. Max image file size is 1 MB.
    2. Image must be JPG, PNG or GIF format.
    3. Ideal image size should be square format and maximum 1200 X 1200 px
    4. Click on "Upload Image"

Who can leave a review? Can I write a review on my customer's behalf?

Any paying customer of the company can leave a review. This means that if money was exchanged between the client and your company, they have the right to write a review. If the money was returned to the customer, they still have the right to write a review.
You cannot leave a review on a customer’s behalf. Instead, try Requesting a Review to collect your reviews from the Members Dashboard.

Yes! Simply request reviews from the membership dashboard. The more reviews you have on your ProAdvice profile, the more potential clients will trust your work.

Do I have to buy leads to have a profile on ProAdvice?

No. Having a profile on ProAdvice is an annual membership. Profile Leads are always free.
To draw more attention to your profile, you can contribute authoritative articles to the blog (free to members) and Feature Your Profile for your specialty services in the members area.

How do I update my business hours?

Updating your business hours, sets the right expectations for a user to know when they can reach your firm. To update your "Business Hours" of each location on your profile, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account and go to your company dashboard.
  • Click on Edit Locations in the left menu bar
  • For each location you have setup either
    1. Select a date range from the drop down (Mon - Fri) and adjust the Open and Closed hours
    2. Select update hours
    OR
    1. Select the pencil next to Open to update the open hour of an individual day
    2. Select SAVE
    3. Select the pencil next to Closed to update the close hour of an individual day
    4. Select SAVE

  • Select the pencil next to the "About Us"
  • Write your complete firm about us.
  • Click "Save"

How to add Team members to your profile?

Adding team members to your profile helps connect you with your viewers, reducing any hesitation to reach out to you and your firm. To add Team Members to your profile, follow these steps:.

Note: the number of team members you are able to add is dependent on your profile package.

  • Log in to your account and go to your company dashboard.
  • Click on Edit Team in the left menu bar
  • Select the Add New Team Member
  • Complete all the details including a member profile image
    1. Max image file size is 1 MB.
    2. Image must be JPG, PNG or GIF format.
    3. Ideal image size should be 1.5:1 ratio and maximum 1500 X 1000 px

How to add an About Us to your Profile?

Adding the details about your firm and services is critical to a user knowing what they can expect from your firm. To add an "About Us" to your profile, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account and go to your company dashboard.
  • Click on Edit Listing in the left menu bar
  • Select the pencil next to the social profile you would like to add
  • Add the full URL to your profile
  • Click "Save"
